The short answer

Does my bouncy castle legally need testing?

If you hire inflatables out for money, they have to be inspected. Health and safety law requires equipment offered to the public for commercial hire to have in-service safety inspections, and HSE guidance expects amusement devices to be checked annually by a competent person.

Domestic owners aren't covered by the same duty, but if you lend or hire your unit to anyone else, you are.

What we inspect

Bouncy castles and bounce-and-slide units. Inflatable slides, obstacle courses and assault courses. Disco domes and ball pools. Bungee runs, gladiator duels and other non-ride-on games. Sealed inflatables and units outside the scope get an EN 14960 or bespoke inspection instead.

How a booking works

    Makes, rough sizes and quantities are enough for us to price it properly.

  • 2. Get a fixed price

    A firm figure in writing, with travel included, before anything is booked.

  • 3. Pick a date

    We come to you, for one unit or a full fleet. Dates that suit you.

  • 4. We inspect

    We check anchorage, seams, pressure, entrapments, fall heights and more.

  • 5. Optional PAT Testing

    We can PAT Test extra fans, leads, candy floss, speakers and lights.

  • 6. The report lands

    A PDF within a few days, with any faults written out in plain English.
